The debut of Morgan Lee. In collaboration with Shonny Jones. Out now on Simply Being Records.

"Could U" is an exercise in storytelling. Inspired by much of the RnB Jones grew up around (Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Erykah Badu, & Amel Larrieux just to name a few) he wanted to tap into that, but in his own way. A story needed to be told about love. About how even though you yearn for it, you struggle with the fears around finding love. The risk, the vulnerability, the effort. It all can be intimidating.

Jones reached out to the talented multi-disciplinary artist Morgan Lee to help bring this vision to life. Jones sent over a skeleton of the instrumental to Lee, and there were immediate connections. Lee had written a narrative impressively fast. Her voice has a natural sound that you will enjoy hearing. And her lyrics demonstrate confidence, strength, and intimacy. She is the focal point and grounding factor of this single. We are grateful to work with her.

Jones recruited a team of musicians to help bring the arrangement to life. All of this culminating at Berwyn Recording. It is a unique space for creative connection and inspiration.
